Pineapple buns? :o
Magical Beans Express, Ipoh. Yep, the name itself already speaks for us! This cafe serves one of the best magical pineapple buns in Malaysia (yes, I said it). The cafe is located in Taman Jubilee, not far from the Bandoru clothing store. The cafe opens everyday, from 9:30am till 11:30pm.
The cafe's atmosphere is somewhat aesthetic, as it provides the 80's/90's malayan cafe vibes. So, if you're looking for a photogenic spot to have your pictures taken in Ipoh, this cafe definitely should be in your list.
views from the inside of the cafe during the rainy days. very chilly
Without further ado, let's start off with the must try menu, the pineapple bun! What can I say, it's really delicious! The outer part of the bread is crispy, but soft on the inside, with the combination of butter and pineapple slices, it's a combination that I never thought of trying, be alone liking. Imagine having the buns while they're hot during the drizzle. Ah yes, let me give you an advice. The buns also have it's own sets that comes with drinks that could help you save your money for a bit. So, read the menu thoroughly okay! And don't forget to tapau the buns!
pineapple buns! ><
Also, if you're still hungry be sure to try their toast. The toast is omega light, very suitable for people that are looking for some snacks. The bread is not too thin or too thick, plus the portion for one set is enough for a person.
kaya toast & white coffee
Speaking of cafe, it would be a crime if I didn't talk about the beverages. My go to beverage would be the hot white coffee. It tastes so good and creamy. The coffee taste from the white coffee is somewhat strong. I recommend this coffee, especially during cold weather. There are also some other drinks that worth trying such as the cold brews, fruit juices & iced coffees.
The waffle also tastes good, as they are soft and fluffy! There are various options in terms of the toppings such as whipped creams and berries. If you don't have a sweet tooth, you could go for waffles without any toppings, just butter and honey. It still tastes like heaven!
waffles!
If you have a chance to visit Ipoh, please do pay this cafe a visit! :)
